RAGE Training Guide

About this site

RAGE Training Guide is the kit-and-buying arm of RAGE Fight Gear. Where the sibling RAGE Gear Knowledge Base explains what a piece of gear is and how it works, this site starts from a different question: given your sport, where you are in training and what you're actually training for, what should you own right now?

How this site is organised

Every guide here is filed by sport — boxing, Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ and grappling, kickboxing — by training stage — your first kit, building a home setup, protective gear matched to contact intensity, getting ready to compete, travelling to train — by buying decision — the general framework, budget vs investment spending, gear by training goal, gifting — or by ongoing care — maintenance and replacement timing, strength and conditioning support, recovery. The aim is to answer “what do I need” quickly, then hand off to the knowledge base for anyone who wants the full technical picture on a specific item.

Why we added the buying-decision and maintenance guides

A kit list answers "what." It doesn't answer "how much should I spend," "when is this actually worn out," or "what does this look like if I'm not training toward a fight at all." Those questions come up just as often as the sport-specific ones, so they get their own guides rather than being squeezed into a footnote on every sport page: see budget vs investment gear, gear maintenance & replacement and gear by training goal.

How we write

Sport and stage will keep growing

This site adds new sport and stage guides as they become useful rather than trying to cover everything at once — the buying-decision, maintenance and recovery guides were added for exactly that reason. If a guide you're looking for isn't here yet, the RAGE Gear Knowledge Base is the place to check for the item-level version in the meantime.
